« Formby »

We spontaneously decided this afternoon, as we both polished off a bit of work, that we'd make the most of the sunny day. We hopped over to Liverpool and set off to Formby, after the wide open spaces of the sand dunes there were recommended by a friend. We got lost a couple of times on the way, but we'll skirt over that.

The scenery was beautiful: miles and miles of rolling dunes decorated with scatterings of yellows, greens, oranges and purples. On the way out of the car park we also stumbled into the pine forest that skirted the edges. The neatly plotted trees, all stretching nice and straight towards the sky, induced an innate calm in me. This is my kind of forest.
