Aztec is a whole trend that I can take or leave, but mostly leave. I have seen evidence on other people that it can look amazing, but in all honesty I see it as one of those fads that will fade away with this year's summer. Leaving anything overly aztec outdated and redundant.

It's when I'm on this side of the fence about a trend that I'll either side step it altogether or really subtly nod to it with one or two additions to my wardrobe. This llama print pinafore seemed a playful flirtation with aztec without jumping in with two feet. Even if the trend comes and goes, I'll still love this thing regardless and if I'm completely wrong - because, let's face it, it happens - then, hey, I'll be sitting pretty on the aztec thing.

This dress was a perfect way to launch into what is obviously now Autumn and the first day of thermal base layers. I haven't missed them in the slightest. Roll necks, 100 plus denier tights, and chunky DM boots will pretty much form the basis of my winter uniform. Urgh, winter ... already?
