The thistle bush we passed on a small walk in the sunshine around the park gave me ample opportunity to practice some macro shots with my camera. Capturing bees pollinating has become my own personal challenge, since I'm absolutely terrified of them. It takes only the slightest twitch in my direction and I run screaming ... picture forgotten.
Fortunately, the bumble bees left me alone for the few shots I was brave enough to take but I did get bitten by a strange tiny little creature that paid for it's violation in the end. It ruined my walk for approximately two seconds, but the sun was too bright and warm for any irritation to stick it out.
