The completely miserable day was only brightened by this Fred Perry ensemble that's autumn ready. Brushed cotton shirts pretty much get me through every season but I love this one because it's so thick and warm. This and it's warm orange hues were the antidote to the sheet of sombre grey sky today.

The shirt accompanies the shorts from the same range perfectly. They have some incredible details; like they button up at the sides, so you don't get any misshaping around the usual fastening area of the crotch. For some reason, this makes them really comfortable and a perfect fit. This is what I like most about Fred Perry: you can walk into a shop and pick up one item and know that it's going to go with everything else they sell. There aren't that many places that manage that.

We took a quick trip in the fading rain to the seaside before I headed out for a night in with my siblings at my biggest brother's house to celebrate my sister's 18th that passed a couple of weeks ago. This is a day to day outfit and one that you can wear all day no matter what you're doing. That's what I need from clothes right now.
