A chocolate box cottage that managed to become a home away from home within the space of a week.
Hidden behind the ambiguous hustle and bustle of the surrounding town lies Penally House. And its small cluster of guest houses. Perched on the St Dogs estuary, it is gifted with views of the stranded boats in low tide and the tumbling fog of spring in high tide.
We spent a week here. Running through the sharp nip of sea air of the morning, the lighting of the fire in the evening routinely becoming our 'off' switch for the day.
A beautiful, secluded sanctuary.
