It feels cold today for the first time since summer moved on. To the extent that you can feel it nibbling away at your fingers and cheeks. Even though the temperature is in double digits and the leaves have only recently began to perform their autumn bloom, there's a definite sniff of winter in the air.
The wind seems to pierce the lighter layers we've gotten used to and as I'm pulling out more and more of my coats and winter knits, I find myself leaning towards deep midnight blues and navy along with my autumnal reds and greens. An easy and and accessible palette with myriad of natural inspirations. I mean, who hasn't already instagrammed a crap-ton of fallen leaves pictures?
Currently besotted with:
My Cath Kidston Swan Skirt which I bought for my first trip to head office. It's super comfortable (awesome for the train) and fail safe, with one of the season's most wearable yet quirky prints.
My Toast shoes, which I got on my recent holiday to South Wales. Can I get a high five for outlets? Huzzah.
Getting to wear wooly tights again. The trick is to find ones that fit and don't itch and then you're in the magic zone of comfy snuggly-ness right down to your toes.
